{"id":186,"date":"2017-01-21T15:15:40","date_gmt":"2017-01-21T20:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bethmorris.com\/cooking\/?p=186"},"modified":"2017-03-12T11:47:37","modified_gmt":"2017-03-12T15:47:37","slug":"breakfast-scramble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bethmorris.com\/cooking\/breakfast-scramble\/","title":{"rendered":"Breakfast Scramble"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1.5 &#8211; 2 lb homemade sausage<\/li>\n<li>1 cup chopped green onions<\/li>\n<li>1 sweet red bell pepper, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 can (4 oz) diced mild green chilies<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro<\/li>\n<li>1 package (30 oz) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese<\/li>\n<li>12 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 cup milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 teaspoon pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cook sausage and set aside<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, combine green onions, red pepper, chilies, and cilantro. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Spray the interior of a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker with vegetable cooking spray.<\/li>\n<li>Layer one third of the hash browns, sausage, green onion mixture and cheese into crock.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat layers twice.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over layered ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 degrees F.<\/li>\n<li>Serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients 1.5 &#8211;
